Advent, Week 1
The prophet pleads for God to reveal Himself in power to the nations. But the judgment of God asked for, Isaiah sees, is needed just as much for God’s people. We all need God’s grace, and when we seek His grace, He changes us like a potter changes clay.
Key Verse: Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him. (Isaiah 64:4 [NIV])
